DESCRIPTION OF THE CURRICULUM AND EXAM DEVELOPMENT (CED) BOARD
- This is a team of professionals who will identify the need for updating the curriculum of the MEL Professional Training program, take the lead in updating it, set questions for exams and organize every kind of assessments and exams.
- To be effective, an advisory committee should consist of qualified, knowledgeable members who are intrinsically motivated.
SELECTION PROCESS AND THE TERM OF THE CED BOARD
- A competitive selection of CED members will be informed by the need to have a competent team with quantitative and qualitative methods applied in the project/program Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. The team should include members specialized in geo-spatial analysis, survival analysis, big data analytics as well as project/program performance, impact and efficiency evaluations.
- Once nominated, a CED member signs a contract with the HOREX to serve one-year term which can be renewed based on the past performance(s) and HOREX appreciation of his or her contributions to the achievement of objectives.
- A CED member cannot be a member of the TAB but can be an Authorized Training Consultant (ATC).
EXPECTATIONS
- CED members will develop an annual examination and assessment calendar and they will ensure it is implemented in a more effective and efficient way.
- They will attend and participate in scheduled quarterly meetings and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- They will keep information shared among CED board members confidential.
- They will act with integrity and professionalism in their duties.
- They will write, edit and approve exam questions and answers.
- They will check the relevance, accuracy and timeliness of the curriculum and will monitor the training materials and methodologies used by the ATCs.
- They will review and update the bodies of knowledge annually to ensure content is accurate and current.
- They will design exam and assessment forms, set minimum passing scores, review exam and assessment question statistics and performance
- They will collaborate with the Program Director, ATCs and Quality Compliance Officer to carry out their duties.
- They will also participate in monitoring the execution of internship projects (capstone courses) and organize assessments to ensure trainees have acquired the required skills and competences
- Time commitment varies depending on development schedule.

- The names of the CEB members will be put in the HOREX Website and they will make a pool of the consultants that will carry out assignments commissioned by HOREX clients/partners.
- The quarterly allowance will be given to a CEB member who will have met the expectations listed here above.
- Being a CEB member will enhance his/her profile and visibility while being seen as a leader in MEL Professional Training program.
