{"id":49362,"date":"2023-11-09T16:15:38","date_gmt":"2023-11-09T16:15:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/horizonexcel.rw\/?post_type=knowledgebase&#038;p=49362"},"modified":"2023-11-09T16:55:28","modified_gmt":"2023-11-09T16:55:28","slug":"training-advisory-board-roles-and-expectations","status":"publish","type":"knowledgebase","link":"https:\/\/horizonexcel.rw\/index.php\/knowledge-base\/key-2\/key\/training-advisory-board-roles-and-expectations\/","title":{"rendered":"TRAINING ADVISORY BOARD: ROLES AND EXPECTATIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>DESCRIPTION OF THE TRAINING ADVISORY BOARD (TAB)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This is a group of multidisciplinary subject matter experts who will advise the Horizon of Excellence in addressing current issues and setting a strategic direction for its MEL Professional Training program. The committee will guide the development and maintenance of the training program, ensuring its content is accurate, relevant and timely.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An advisory committee has no power to make decisions and generally approaches its advisory role by identifying certain issues, investigating and discussing them, and proposing solutions and recommendations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be effective, an advisory committee should consist of qualified, knowledgeable members who are intrinsically motivated.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SELECTION PROCESS AND THE TERM OF THE TRAINING ADVISORY BOARD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Through a headhunting strategy, the selection of TAB members is informed by the need to have a competent team with a diversity of knowledge, experience and skills: applied statistics, MEL, Economic Sciences, Public health, GIS, IT, Data science, Qualitative analysis, Survey and sampling, social sciences, Project management, and Education sciences. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once nominated, TAB members serve a two-year term which can be renewed based on the past performance(s) and HOREX appreciation of their contributions to the achievement of objectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TAB member cannot be a member of the Curriculum &amp; Exam Development Team, or have served it in the past two years. He\/she should not either be an Authorized Training Consultant (ATC).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EXPECTATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>TAB members will meet annually. They may also meet extraordinarily when deemed necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will attend and participate in approximately two-hour video conference call meeting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will keep information shared with them confidential. All accepted TAB members will be expected to sign a confidentiality agreement that extends one year beyond the two-year term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will act with integrity and professionalism in advisory board duties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will identify, contribute and review content for training products, including instructor-lead and online training programs, textbooks and test questions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will support the training team function by providing guidance and insights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will advocate for the HOREX training program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will not be agents or employees of HOREX and will not act on HOREX\u2019s behalf or enter into any binding agreement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The names of the TAB members will be published in the HOREX Website and they will make a pool of the consultants that will carry out assignments commissioned by HOREX clients\/partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;A sitting allowance fee per active participant, i.e., a TAB member who will have attended the meeting. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Being a TAB member will enhance his\/her profile and visibility while being seen as a leader in MEL Professional Training program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DESCRIPTION OF THE TRAINING ADVISORY
